Mieke Amalia's Story of Successfully Making Tora Sudiro Not Joke When Marrying Azzahra Nabila Sudiro

Kapanlagi.com - Comedian Tora Sudiro felt relieved after his daughter, Azzahra Nabila Sudiro, officially married Muhammad Ivan Lubis. Their wedding took place in the Mega Kuningan area, South Jakarta, on Sunday, August 25, 2024.

"Alhamdulillah, today I, Tora Sudiro, acting as the marriage guardian, successfully married my daughter to Ivan, her long-time partner," said Tora after the marriage ceremony.

Being a marriage guardian was a first-time experience for Tora. Interestingly, Mieke Amalia, Tora's wife, revealed that she had reminded her husband not to joke during the sacred ceremony.

"As per my instructions, from yesterday's study session to today's marriage ceremony, my only message was, don't joke because today is a once-in-a-lifetime event, so it’s sacred, meaning we should position ourselves to ensure everything goes well," said Mieke Amalia.

1. Tora Nervous

Tora himself admitted to feeling nervous as he was about to read the marriage vows. Understandably, this was his first experience and a moment he had to face.

"I was the one who was afraid of making a mistake, I was also seeing things blurry, I wasn't wearing glasses, I wore them too, wearing glasses, there was definitely some panic, while my son-in-law was speaking clearly, so he kept looking into my eyes, I was panicking, my heart was racing," he explained.

Tora also expressed his feelings about letting his first daughter get married. He admitted that it was indeed time for his daughter to leave her single life, especially since the couple had been in a relationship for a long time.

"I do feel a sense of pride that her journey is in line with marrying at this age, working first and then getting married, I'm just happy," Tora revealed.

2. Ready to Be Grandparents

When asked if they are ready to become grandparents, Tora responded. However, he left it up to both of them, whether they want to postpone or not.

"I also talked to my child about whether they want to have children or want to hold off on having children to work first or whatever, it's up to you guys," Tora concluded.

With mixed feelings of pride and nervousness, Tora watched his child's wedding with deep gratitude. The entire series of events took place solemnly and according to the family's expectations.
