Vina Panduwinata Can't Hold Back Tears While Remembering Marissa Haque, Regrets Not Having Met the Deceased

Marissa's departure, someone she had known for a long time, left a deep sorrow for the singer of the song September Ceria.

In the midst of sadness, Mama Ina shared her sweet memories of Marissa and how she misses the chance to meet in her friend's last days. She expressed her admiration for the unquenchable spirit of learning from the deceased.

"Mama Ina sees that she never strayed from her desire to learn. I have known the late Marissa for a very long time. So back then, Mama Ina was friends with Addie MS and Ikang (Marissa Haque's husband)," said Vina Panduwinata at Ikang Fawzi's house, Tuesday (10/8/2024).

Vina recounted that her friendship with Marissa had been established for a long time, even before Marissa entered into a relationship with Ikang Fawzi.

"So, before dating Ica, we had already been friends," she said.

1. Never Stop Learning

Vina feels lucky to have known Marissa Haque since the beginning of her career and to have witnessed her inspiring life journey. Besides being a friend, Marissa is also known to Vina as someone who never stops learning. This has even become Marissa's hallmark that is remembered by her friends.

"She is someone who never stops learning. I recently heard that Ica wants to be remembered as a teacher, and I know that's her passion," she said.

2. Express Regrets

However, there is a deep regret that Vina feels because she did not have the chance to meet Marissa before her friend passed away. Marissa's desire to meet her did not come to fruition, and that has become a significant regret for Vina.

"I heard from Ikang, the last time Ica wanted to meet Mama Ina. It didn't happen, which made Mama Ina feel really regretful. She wasn't given the opportunity to meet. I just heard from Ikang that recently Ica really wanted to meet Mama Ina," said Mama Ina.

3. Prayer for Marissa Haque

For Vina, Marissa is a figure who always spreads kindness, so there is no doubt that she will have a noble place. Vina also reminds that Marissa has done many good things during her life, and that is the greatest legacy she left behind.

"What is clear is that Mama Ina prays for Ica to have the most beautiful place by God's side, and I believe that because she has given so much kindness and brought so many benefits to many people," she said.

"Mama Ina knows we have an obligation as humans to be beneficial to many people, and that has already been done by the deceased," she concluded.
