Nafa Urbach adds to the long list of celebrities who have become members of the DPR. She officially took on her new duties since October 1, 2024.
In addition to being a member of the DPR, Nafa was also elected as the treasurer of the Nasdem Party faction for 2024-2029. She has become an important figure in that faction alongside Ahmad Sahroni and Viktor Laiskodat.
Days as a member of the DPR are full of new experiences for Nafa. Various unexpected events arise, including during meetings. Nafa accidentally misspoke.
"The incident after I misspoke in the meeting was due to my nervousness. It should have been 'doctor' instead of 'doktor'. In fact, I was accompanied by 2 professors who are all doctors," Nafa wrote on her Instagram.
Instead of being heavily criticized, Nafa actually received a lot of support from netizens. Many understood Nafa's mistake. Nafa also expressed her gratitude in the comments section.
From her Instagram, it can be seen that Nafa pays great attention to the issue of bullying. She even visited schools to help develop children's character.
"Indonesia is among the largest countries experiencing the 5th highest cases of bullying in the world. This has become our main concern together to start rejecting this," she wrote on Instagram.
"We started socializing in schools to introduce children to the dangers of bullying and to make them more caring towards their friends and peers," Nafa continued.
