The long-awaited moment has finally arrived. Vincent Verhaag is now not only known as Jessica Iskandar's husband but also officially holds the status of Indonesian Citizen (WNI).

The most concrete evidence of his new status is the Identity Card (KTP) that he now possesses. The joyful expression cannot be hidden from Vincent's face. When asked if he already has the KTP, he enthusiastically confirmed it.

"Okay, the blue one, with the boss. With us," said Vincent Verhaag when met in the Tendean area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (9/9/2025).

For Vincent, having an Indonesian ID card is a reaffirmation of the identity he has always felt in his heart. He admitted that long before it was officially recognized in data, he had always felt like a part of Indonesia.

"Honestly, I have always stated that when people ask where I'm from, I always say from Indonesia. It's just that officially, it's not valid because I still hold a foreign passport," he revealed.

This significant decision was certainly welcomed with joy by his wife, Jessica Iskandar. Jedar feels that her husband's new status will bring ease to their household life that they have built in the homeland.

"I am very happy, grateful. Also, I am very pleased that we are now one nationality. I think it makes things easier for couples like us," said Jessica Iskandar.

Vincent also emphasized that his choice to become an Indonesian citizen was entirely for the good of his family. He realizes that the future of his wife and children will be more secure in Indonesia. "My choice is also for their benefit and for the children," he asserted.

With a blue ID card in hand and a status now equal to all his family members, Vincent admitted he feels more relieved and happy, without any burden at all. "So there's no burden at all. In fact, I'm more motivated, more happy," he concluded.
