Kapanlagi.com - Artist and politician Wanda Hamidah once again showed her concern for social issues by directly participating in the demonstration held in front of the DPR MPR RI Building, Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (22/8/2024).
This action coincided with a large-scale demonstration organized by the Labor Party and several students to oppose the ratification of the Regional Election Law.
Wanda appeared simple yet striking in her clothing and sunglasses. She not only came to voice her opinion but also brought several boxes of food that she distributed to the protesters.
"I'm just giving out food," Wanda said briefly while walking around the demonstration area.

Although not many words were spoken, Wanda's action attracted the attention of many people, especially because the shirt she wore read "I Thought the Medicine Turned Out to Be Poison," which seemed to imply a message about the ongoing situation.
In addition to Wanda Hamidah, this street action was also joined by several other public figures. Some well-known comedians and actors like Abdel Achrian, Bintang Emon, Reza Rahadian, Andovi, Rigen, and Arie Kriting participated in the protest against the ratification of the Regional Election Law.
Their presence further strengthened support for the movement. For your information, this demonstration was held to urge the DPR not to oppose the Constitutional Court's (MK) Decision Number 60 regarding the 2024 Regional Elections.
