Wardatina Mawa has become the center of attention due to one of her videos while on vacation in Japan. Wearing a kimono paired with a hijab and niqab, Mawa was criticized for dancing in the short video recording.
According to Mawa herself, her movements in the video were not a dance. However, according to netizens, the movements of Insanul Fahmi's wife were already categorized as dancing and were deemed inappropriate for someone wearing a niqab.
Wardatina Mawa received quite a lot of criticism for the short video content she uploaded on Instagram recently. Wearing a white kimono, Mawa paired it with a hijab and a face veil.
In the video, Mawa swayed and spun for a brief moment. Netizens were quick to criticize Mawa, stating that for someone wearing a face veil, her movements were deemed inappropriate.
Mawa responded to a comment from one of the netizens on her Instagram page. She feels that what she did in the short video was not a dance.
In the caption of her post, Mawa wrote that she can still be herself even when in different places. "Different places, different outfits, but the heart remains the same," wrote Mawa.
"I believe we can enjoy the world without losing our identity, right?," she continued in the caption on Instagram that was posted on April 3, 2026.
Although this video has drawn a lot of criticism, Mawa still keeps it on her personal Instagram page. She did not delete the video or limit the comments section.
Mawa herself admitted to enjoying her trip to Japan this time. She is very grateful for the blessings she has received amidst the turmoil of her household with Insanul Fahmi, who is still in the process of divorce proceedings in the Religious Court.
