Tarra Budiman Stops Running for a Full Month, Admits to Feeling 'Weak'

For Tarra Budiman, running is no longer just a hobby, but a necessity that is inseparable from his daily routine. However, what happens if he is forced to stop completely for a full month? It turns out, the impact is not only physical but also affects his mental condition.

This situation must be endured as part of the recovery process after a hair transplant. Tarra, who usually starts his day with a run, admits to feeling a great loss and even experiencing negative effects on his productivity.

Without the endorphins from exercise, he feels his day becomes less enjoyable and his creativity decreases. "Honestly, if you ask what it’s called, usually we have activities in the morning, right? It can always be repeated, and then suddenly it stops, honestly I feel weak, dumb, not getting up," said Tarra Budiman when met in the Pondok Bambu area, East Jakarta, Sunday (4/5/2026).

This 39-year-old actor explains that running is his form of meditation. That moment becomes a time for him to clear his mind and gain positive energy to face the day.

"Why is that? Because, you see, exercise is not only meditation but also a place for me to get a lot of endorphins. After that, I can probably go through the day more enjoyably and be even more creative," he explained.

During the "fasting" period from exercise, his lifestyle changed drastically. From usually waking up at dawn, he started waking up later. This made him feel unproductive and anxious.

"I haven't exercised, I've been eating a lot, suddenly waking up late... So it feels like, wow I can't do this, finally after a month of what you call hair transplant, I could exercise and I got back at it," he said.

The feeling of extreme boredom haunted him every day. "Bored, really bored, very bored. Because I don't know what else to do besides work," he concluded.
