Who is Ari Bias Who is Now in the Spotlight Due to the Dispute with Agnez Mo Over Concert Royalties?

Ari Bias is a music composer from North Sumatra. The man, born in 1986, has been involved in the Indonesian music scene for quite some time as a musician, songwriter, and also a music arranger.

Among musicians and singers, the name Ari Bias is already well-known. His songs and the music he arranges adorn the albums of many singers in Indonesia, from Agnez Mo to Kris Dayanti.

In addition to creating songs and making arrangements for other singers, Ari Bias also has a band. In 2008, he formed a band called Elkasih, one of whose members is Ibnu Elkasih, and they released an album.

Although the band Elkasih is not very popular, Ari's career in the music world has expanded widely. He creates songs for singers, Ari also makes music arrangements for other musicians and has become a music director for several films, including Hantu Aborsi and Horor Time.

Now Ari Bias is active in the Indonesian Composer Association (AKSI) alongside Piyu Padi, Ahmad Dhani, Rieka Roslan, and Badai from ex-Kerispatih. Together with AKSI members, Ari advocates for concert royalty management and brings it to the table of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI).

Now Ari is in the spotlight after the District Court ruled in his favor against Agnez Mo regarding the royalties for the song 'Bilang Saja'. After a lengthy court process, Ari was declared the winner and Agnez must pay Rp1.5 billion to Ari for the song that Agnez performed during the concert.

Before filing the lawsuit in court, Ari admitted that he had tried to contact Agnez Mo, but there was no response. The court itself determined that Agnez must pay his royalties, and this case could escalate to the criminal realm if the singer fails to fulfill his obligation to pay royalties as per the court's decision.
