Wife Reveals Facts Behind Murfi Sembako's Death, Has Been Sick Since 2007

Kapanlagi.com - Sad news once again hits the Indonesian entertainment industry. Comedian Murfi Hidayat, or commonly known as Murfi Sembako, passed away today, Friday (29/1), due to heart disease. The news was initially announced by Bopak Castello, a fellow comedian of the late Murfi.

Meanwhile, Yanti, Murfi's wife, confirmed the news of her husband's passing when contacted by the media. Regarding the funeral, she is still unable to provide certainty as the body of the deceased is still at the hospital.

"Yes, it's true (he passed away) at 2:55 PM. I think the body will be brought home first because we don't know when it will be finished. The body is still at the hospital (Pelni Petamburan Central Jakarta)," said Yanti, Murfi Sembako's wife when contacted on Friday (29/1).

1. Sick Since 2007

Yanti then went on to tell more details about the illness suffered by her late husband. But one thing for sure, she mentioned that her husband did not die because of being exposed to Covid-19.

"So he was admitted to the hospital since Thursday (20/1). It was his heart, not because of Covid. Before being admitted to the ICU, we had already tested for Covid. So it was because of his heart, a leaky heart valve," she continued.

"He has been sick since 2007, it often relapses, but this time it's worse. He didn't realize it since Sunday," Yanti added.

2. Not Visited During Illness

During his illness, Murfi was said to have received no visits from his friends at all. The reason is because the late Murfi never told anyone about his illness.

"Murphy never tells his friends about his illness," Yanti concluded.
