Willing to Pay Debt, Tiko Aryawardhana Confused by Accusations of Embezzlement by His Ex-Wife

Irfan Aghasar, Tiko's legal counsel, revealed that there is quite a lot of evidence regarding the separation of assets and debts. However, after their separation, Tiko is still burdened with debts from his ex-wife.

"Quite a lot, because this is related to evidence since 2015, 2016, 17, 18, until 19. And there are several things that we include here, Arina or AW has debts in the bank, the marriage process has separated their assets and debts," said Irfan Aghasar when met at the South Jakarta Police Station, Wednesday (17/7) early morning.

"However, Mr. Tiko is still burdened with paying Arina's debts. So, I feel it is unfair to accuse him of embezzlement, but force him to fulfill Arina's obligations. This is something that is not open from AW's side regarding this matter, and we convey it in as much detail as possible to the investigators," he said.

Therefore, in the further examination last night, the Tiko side explained one by one the transactions that were accused of being diverted, which is not true. "We explained one by one those financial transactions that prove that the accusation of diverting the audit is not true. It is a big note that after we read it in the audit, it is very unclear, very gray and tends to be subjective," he said.

Not only that, Tiko Aryawardhana also handed over data from the bank regarding financial reports, profits, and losses each month. Tiko is also said to still be willing to pay off his ex-wife's debt.

2. Feeling Strange Accused of Diverting Funds

Therefore, Irfan considers it quite strange that his client is accused of diverting funds. "Well, that is all evidence that Mas Tiko is resolving the problem professionally, not wanting to leave any changes for later," he said.

"Mas Tiko is still willing to pay Arina's credit. Now that they are divorced like this, they want to demand it through legal procedures," he concluded.
