One of the standout moments was the National Costume Competition held on October 20, 2024, at MGI Hall, Bangkok, Thailand.

On the night of the competition, Nova shone among the other participants. With full confidence, the 23-year-old girl wore a national costume themed 'The Royal Flavors of Payakumbuah,' which reflects the richness of Indonesian culture and cuisine.

The costume worn by Nova was designed by Annisa Banyuwangi and inspired by the Minangkabau food tradition, especially the renowned Padang cuisine known for its deliciousness. This costume depicts typical Minangkabau dishes served on a large tray, providing a grand and authentic visual impression.

Ivan Gunawan, Founder of the Mega Bintang World Foundation and the license holder of Miss Grand Indonesia, stated that this costume is a symbol of pride in Indonesian culture. He also emphasized the importance of the National Costume as a platform to promote Indonesian tourism to the world.

Ivan's idea to elevate Padang cuisine to the international stage is fully supported by Arief Muhammad, the owner of Restoran Padang Payakumbuah. Arief hopes that through this costume, Padang cuisine will be increasingly recognized and loved by many, both domestically and internationally.

The process of making this costume took three weeks, with the main challenge lying in the complex opening and closing mechanism. Annisa Banyuwangi explained that this costume contains many plates with a variety of typical Padang dishes, and it weighs about 5 kilograms.

Support for Nova Liana is also pouring in from both domestic and international sources. In Bangkok, Nova's face can be seen adorning tuk-tuks, traditional Thai vehicles, as a form of support from Indonesian pageant fans.
