Worried About Losing the Meaning of Differences, The Changcuters Present the Song

Kapanlagi.com - The Changcuters music group ends the year 2023 by releasing the single "Memang Beda". This song reflects concerns about the loss of meaning from differences.

Tria, the vocalist of The Changcuters, revealed that this song is not just a single, but also a movement that they want to invite all band members to join.

"We see that as time goes on, many people are confused by differences. Some become enemies, make mistakes, or even force themselves to be the same," said Tria in the Gatot Subroto area, South Jakarta, on Monday (18/12/2023).

"However, human equality is because we are different. So why are we afraid to appear different? This is what we want to convey," added Tria.

According to Tria, currently many people are anxious about differences, resulting in conflicts, misunderstandings, or even coercion to be uniform.

Through this song, the band from Bandung wants to convey that human similarity actually arises from diversity. They want to encourage people to not be afraid to appear different.

"If being different is something that we feel very easy, very flowing maybe because the studio is new, the equipment is more proper, the atmosphere is relaxed. It even feels endless," he said.

The process of creating the song "Memang Beda" was not difficult for The Changcuters. They felt the togetherness and smooth flow of creativity when working in a new studio with more adequate equipment and a relaxed atmosphere.

"I've already taken the vocals, 'this seems like the lyrics should be changed like this, oh it's good'. Maybe this is one of the signs that we're already grown up, so there's no need to argue about unimportant things. What else is there to look for besides their hit songs?" said Tria.

Through the song "Memang Beda" (Truly Different), this band consisting of Tria, Qibil, Alda, Dipa, and Eric wants to invite listeners, especially the Z generation, to believe in themselves and not be afraid to appear different.

"We want to convey to our friends in the Z generation, they have a lot of potential but they also have a lot of issues. Just believe in yourself, it's okay to be different," he said.

The Changcuters also plan to release a series of activities related to "Memang Beda" (Truly Different), including "Memang Beda Gaya" (Truly Different Style), "Memang Beda Tips" (Truly Different Tips), and "Memang Beda Aksi" (Truly Different Actions) as part of the celebration towards their 20 years of musical journey. "In the future, there will be Memang Beda Gaya, Memang Beda Tips, Memang Beda Aksi. So this is an activity towards The Changcuters' 20 years," concluded Tria.
