Behind her figure as a singer with a melodious voice and touching songs, Yura Yunita actually harbors a number of surprising facts that are rarely known to the public. One of them is her experience as a journalist while still in college, where she once had the assignment to report directly from Nusakambangan Island.

Not only covering the event, Yura even had the opportunity to interview an inmate involved in a murder and drug case in a maximum-security prison. This experience became one of the proudest moments of her life.

"I used to be a journalist. I did a report in Nusakambangan, I went to the furthest prison, the ninth prison, the heaviest prison. I interviewed inmates for murder and narcotics; our interview lasted about 3 hours, guarded by many (guards)," said Yura Yunita when met in the Kalibata area, South Jakarta, Tuesday (11/4/2025).

The last fact she shared is quite quirky. She considers the moment of defecation (pooping) as something sacred to release negative energy.

"I always feel that pooping is sacred. For me, pooping is a sacred moment every day. 'Oh God, I want to release all the negative and bad things in my body through this poop.' Okay, door! like that," she concluded.
