Zaskia Adya Mecca Provides Latest Update on the Condition of Her Child and Employee After the Assault Incident, While Being a Witness

After the incident occurred, Zaskia revealed that two superiors of the perpetrator N had contacted her by phone to apologize and ensure that the legal process would be monitored fairly. They also emphasized that there would be no attempts at a settlement outside of legal channels. “Two superiors of suspect N have contacted us as a form of apology, wanting to establish good relations and also ensure that the legal process will be monitored and proceed as it should,” Zaskia wrote on Instagram.

Zaskia also confirmed that the perpetrator is currently in custody. She stated, “Currently, N is detained at Pomdam Jaya, having been handed over from his unit to the Military Police.”

Zaskia and her husband, Hanung Bramantyo, immediately decided to expedite their return from the Holy Land to support their child and employees who became victims. Their planned trip to Jordan and Al Aqsa was ultimately canceled. “In the end, Mas Hanung and I decided to expedite our return after Umrah. The journey that was supposed to continue to Jordan and Al Aqsa had to be sacrificed,” Zaskia wrote.

Upon arriving in Jakarta, Zaskia mentioned that the commander of the perpetrators of the incident immediately approached them to establish a friendly relationship and apologize. The commander also offered compensation for hospital expenses and psychological support. “After arriving in Jakarta, the commander, as promised, immediately came to our place. He established a friendly relationship, apologized, wanted to compensate for material losses (hospital and psychological costs), and ensured that the legal process would continue,” she explained.

Zaskia recounted that after the meeting, she and her family immediately visited Denpom 2 Cijantung, where the perpetrator was detained. There, they were informed that the case documentation process could take up to 120 days before being submitted to court. “Throughout last week, the examination continued, and there was a crime scene investigation from Denpom,” she wrote. She added that the legal process must start over because the perpetrator is a member of the military, including re-examining witnesses and victims.

Kala, Zaskia's child, was asked to testify in the legal process. Zaskia expressed her gratitude because Kala was directly accompanied by a psychologist and a lawyer from the state during the examination. “Kala was asked to testify, and thank God she was accompanied by @pppadki, who provided a psychologist and lawyer free of charge from the state,” she wrote.

Zaskia also added positive news regarding the condition of the two victims. She said that Faisal and Kala are now gradually recovering physically and mentally, although they are still undergoing psychological support. “The condition of Faisal & Kala, thank God, continues to improve as time goes by.
