10 Times Escaped from Death, Aida Saskia: Allah Still Loves Me

Kapanlagi.com - Singer Aida Saskia admits to having suffered from bipolar disorder for the past 15 years. She only found out about her bipolar disorder when she attempted suicide for the first time.

"There were no symptoms at all, I only found out 15 years ago when I attempted suicide for the first time. The doctor diagnosed me with bipolar disorder, and that's when I found out that I have bipolar disorder," said Aida Saskia at the grand launching of Roket's Label, Jakarta, on Friday (31/1).

1. Already Several Times

Since being diagnosed with bipolar disorder, Aida admitted to having attempted suicide several times. She has attempted this foolish act 10 times. Fortunately, her attempts have failed multiple times, allowing her to escape death.

"10 times. Thank God Allah still loves me and there are always friends who save me, maybe Allah is not ready for me to die," she said.

2. Aida Feels Alienated

Aida said that the trigger for her suicide attempts usually occurs when she feels down, facing heavy burdens, and feeling alienated by those closest to her.

"When I feel down, there is one unresolved problem added to other issues, and I feel rejected by some people, then I am in a lonely state. In such situations, I should go to a psychiatrist for healing," she explained.

3. Aida Routinely Consumes Medication

Aida is aware that her illness can recur anytime and anywhere. Therefore, she tries to routinely consume medication and consult with a psychiatrist.

"Aida's illness cannot be eliminated, that's why I take medication regularly because the level of swinging, the ups and downs cannot be predicted, and it can suddenly arise," she said.

"Usually, one week before the medication runs out, I have to consult, and one consultation is for a month's medication. But if I feel a strong urge before it's time to consult, I have to go to the psychiatrist," she added.
