Accused of Hurting Herself and Divorcing Husband Because of Buying a Big Motorcycle, Jenita Janet Clarifies

"It's a big mistake to say that I like to hurt myself. If that were true, maybe I would have died since I was little," Jenita Janet said when met in Tendean, South Jakarta, on Friday (24/1).

She also finds it funny when her lawyer claims that the reason for her divorce is her husband buying a big motorcycle, Harley Davidson. According to her, the purchase of the motorcycle is not the cause of the problems between her and her husband.

"Hahaha, it's funny. It's better if the lawyer talks directly to me, it's becoming strange now. It's not about the Harley. This is all an accumulation of debates and arguments throughout our marriage. I used to be patient," she said.

In addition, Jenita Janet also can't help but wonder, the lawyer said her husband had uttered divorce talak to her because he had to. "It's funny, isn't it? If unconsciously, it's impossible to do it repeatedly. Even when he said the second talak, my parents and the family of my ex-husband witnessed it," said Jenita Janet.

It should be noted that Jenita Janet's husband, Alief Hedi Nurmaulid, still wants to maintain their marriage. Alief, through his lawyer, Marloncius Sihalo, is trying to prevent the divorce lawsuit filed by Jenita Janet in the Bekasi Court from being granted by the Panel of Judges.

Marloncius Sihalo told the media at the Bekasi Religious Court on Tuesday (21/1/2020), revealing the background of Jenita Janet's divorce lawsuit against Alief Hedi Nurmaulid. First, because of the issue of Harley Davidson, and according to him, it is not strong enough to be used as a condition for divorce.

Second, because Alief had already uttered talak divorce to Jenita, and Marloncius said that his client's talak statement was done under pressure and coercion from Jenita. According to Marloncius, Jenita Janet's desire must be fulfilled because she has a tendency to hurt herself.
