Thalassemia itself is an inherited blood disorder characterized by a lack of oxygen-carrying protein (hemoglobin) and a lower than normal number of red blood cells in the body. Of course, seeing patients who are still children, Devita admits to feeling sad.

"Yes, of course, I feel sad when I see the patients directly, even many children who should have time to play have to have blood transfusions 2 to once a week, they are very strong and have the spirit to recover," she said when met at RSUD Tangerang, Kabupaten Tangerang, Wednesday (29/1).

Before coming, Devita Rusdi admitted that she did not know about thalassemia. She gained a lot of knowledge after seeing the sufferers directly. That's why Devita didn't think twice about being able to help whatever she could.

"InshaAllah, whatever form it is, about social activities will always be made time for, no matter how busy it is, social activities will be done as often as possible," she said with a smile.

2. Perform Social Actions

Not only that, previously Devita Rusdi also carried out social actions for the victims affected by floods. By helping others, she hopes to alleviate their burden a little.

"Not long ago, there was a social action for flood victims in several flood locations. Regular visits to foundations or orphanages and whatever form it takes for social activities will be done as much as possible," she concluded.
