When met at Studio 5 Indosiar, West Jakarta, on Thursday night (5/10), Sandiaga said that the dangdut music genre has now become a creative economy product. He also said that dangdut music has now become the property of all people.

Not only that, Sandiaga Uno also believes that indirectly, dangdut music has created job opportunities.

"Dangdut has now become a creative economic product that represents Indonesian culture that is already worldwide. We see that dangdut is a music genre that unites us and becomes the identity of our nation in every activity, and dangdut belongs to all groups," said Sandiaga Uno.

"We certainly appreciate the Indonesian Dangdut Awards, Indosiar, which continues to promote dangdut as a music that we can offer to the world for promoting destinations, especially tourism. That's why we strongly support this event because dangdut creates job opportunities," he added.

2. Already Goes Asia

For Sandiaga, dangdut music is no longer just a genre for adults. Moreover, dangdut music now also benefits creative industry players such as videographers and directors.

"Yes, young people who used to associate dangdut with adults, but now it can be said that the younger generation dominates and it is the younger generation that accepts dangdut. This also provides opportunities for videographers, directors, and others, and it turns out that dangdut is not just music, but all aspects of the economy support it," he said.

Furthermore, Sandi also hopes that dangdut becomes a music genre that can be offered to the world, surpassing K-Pop from Korea.

"Dangdut has already gone to Asia, we see that dangdut has been accepted in other parts of the world, I imagine that dangdut is Indonesia's answer to music that can be offered to the world. If Korea has K-Pop, we have D-Kop.
