Clarification from Eira Syazira, Original Singer from Malaysia Accused of Performing Nyi Roro Kidul Worship Ritual

Some unpleasant rumors emerged because in the video, Eira appeared wearing a green dress and shooting on a beach. Some people accused her of performing a Nyai Roro Kidul worship ritual.

Eira clarified the misleading news. According to her, the costume she wore was prepared by the production team, so she just followed the director's instructions for the music video.

"I just followed the instructions. It was all choreographed dance moves to enhance the video and has nothing to do with rituals as some netizens assumed," said the singer from the neighboring country.

As a Muslim, Eira considers the accusation of worshiping Nyai Roro Kidul as a serious matter. She understands well that believing in the existence of mythological figures in that legend is not allowed in religion.

"This is very sensitive, I didn't expect netizens' thoughts to be that deep. Even though it was all unintentional," she said.
