Dewi Perssik Speaks Up After Being Called Infertile and Having Had an Abortion, Admits She Has Frozen Eggs

Kapanlagi.com - Dewi Perssik speaks up in response to slanderous accusations that she is infertile and has had an abortion. Through a post on Instagram, Dewi shows the results of an ultrasound examination she had at the hospital to prove that she is healthy and fertile.

"They say, 'Oh, it's useless to sing, to dance, but she's an infertile woman', and it's not just one, many. For example, I upload again show where, 'Hey infertile woman, don't be proud of yourself'," said Dewi Perssik in the Tendean area, South Jakarta, Monday (9/9/2024).

1. Initially Didn't Care

Dewi Perssik initially hesitated to respond to the negative remarks from netizens who often attacked her. However, over time, she felt that the accusations became increasingly outrageous and disturbing. Not only that, Dewi also admitted that there were rumors claiming she had undergone an abortion, although it was unclear who spread the news.

"And then there are rumors. I don’t know who said it, but they claimed I had an abortion. Then someone else said, 'She is infertile'. My fans couldn’t accept that. They said if I’m infertile, how could I have an abortion? So I started to feel offended over time," explained Dewi Perssik.

2. Has Frozen Egg Cells

Feeling cornered, Dewi Perssik finally decided to check herself into the hospital and undergo an egg freezing program. She did this as a preparation in case she later has a partner and wants to have children.

"Alhamdulillah, there are 7 egg cells that I have stored. When we undergo the IVF program, it already indicates that we are healthy and fertile. What is said to be infertile is if there are no egg cells, no uterus. So I feel a bit sad about it. Especially when it’s women who are talking," she revealed.

3. Once Afraid of Being Infertile Too

Although often seen as a woman with a strong mentality, Dewi admits that she can also feel weak and be affected by negative comments. In fact, those accusations made Dewi question herself, wondering if she was indeed infertile.

"Honestly, personally, when people say my mentality is strong, I still sometimes find myself in a phase where I ask, 'Doctor, am I really infertile?'. Because many people say that. It got to the point where I repeatedly asked, 'It's true, right, Doctor? I'm not infertile, am I?'," said Dewi Perssik.

4. Questioning the Spreaders of Rumors

On that occasion, Dewi Perssik also questioned the people who accused her of being infertile and having an abortion. She asked them to provide evidence for those accusations.

"There is one woman who acts like she knows everything about my life. She talks about abortion, and then I asked, 'If that’s true, where did the abortion happen?'" said Dewi Perssik.

"For someone of Dewi Perssik's status, even going to the bathroom becomes an issue, let alone having an abortion. What I mean is, please, if you don't know someone's personal life, don't just talk carelessly," concluded Dewi Perssik.
