Didi Kempot, the Brand Ambassador of Ambyarsador, Passed Away, Shopee Expresses Condolences

Shortly after Lord Didi passed away, Shopee issued an official statement. They expressed their deepest condolences for the passing of Didi Kempot today in Solo, (5/5) at the age of 53.

1. Indonesia Lost Its Best Artist

In the official statement, the director of Shopee Indonesia revealed that Indonesia has suffered a great loss. One of the best artists in this country has passed away.

"Indonesia has lost one of its best artists today, namely Didi Kempot. Many people know him as the brand ambassador of Shopee, but we know him as 'Pakdhe', who is always warm and cheerful in every collaboration moment we do," said Handika Jahja, director of Shopee Indonesia.

2. Condolences

Furthermore, Handika invites everyone to remember all the works of the maestro. Hundreds of songs have been created by Didi, as well as his works on the big screen that have not been released in Indonesia.

"The entire Shopee family extends our condolences for the departure of 'Pakdhe' Didi Kempot. Let us remember his works by continuing to preserve the original Indonesian culture to carry on his struggle," continued Handika.

3. Brand Ambyarsador

Didi Kempot became the brand ambassador for Shopee in mid-December 2019. Instead of being called a brand ambassador, he is referred to as a brand ambyarsador, referring to the nickname 'sobat ambyar' given to his fans.

Now Didi Kempot has truly made the hearts of all his fans 'ambyar'. He passed away suddenly, allegedly due to a heart attack while in his studio in Solo.

4. Buried in Ngawi

Didi Kempot passed away today, Tuesday, April 5, 2020. The singer, who was dubbed The Godfather of Broken Heart, passed away at Kasih Ibu Hospital, Solo, this morning around 07:45 AM.

According to Solopos.com, Didi Kempot's body will be laid in the funeral home in Sumber, Banjarsari District, Solo, before being buried.

The Mayor of Solo, FX Hadi Rudyatmo, explained that Didi Kempot will be buried in Ngawi Regency, East Java. "Now he will be washed and then brought to Sumber first, and then directly taken to Ngawi," said the mayor, who is familiarly called Rudi.
