Enjoy Singing Since Childhood, Novi Rizki Never Thought of Becoming a Dangdut Singer

"Since junior high school, I liked singing, but I never thought of becoming a singer. Even until high school, my focus was on school, college, and then work. In fact, I used to aspire to become a member of parliament," said Novi Rizki during an interview with reporters, not long ago.

Because she had no desire to become a singer, Novi, who at that time had already ventured into the entertainment industry as a model and presenter, once rejected an offer to become a singer from a talent scout.

1. Joining One of the Labels

However, due to the encouragement from her friends, she eventually gave in and joined one of the record labels.

"In the past, a friend offered me my first dangdut song and I refused, until more of my friends started supporting me and I finally said, 'bismillah' (in the name of God),'" said the woman born in Bandung, November 9, 27 years old.

For her first song, Novi had to swallow disappointment. Her song was not well received by the public. However, it did not deter her from continuing to make a name for herself in the music industry.

2. Grateful for Her Second Song

Rizki went through a winding journey until she finally joined the seven stars records label and released the song Zanda Tik Tok. She is grateful for her second song, as it received positive response from the public.

From there, she became even more enthusiastic and confident in becoming a dangdut singer. Her third song titled Cantik Itu Mahal also received positive response. It even went viral and further boosted her popularity.

"The main reason I wanted to join seven stars records is because I believe this label has quality. Their music has its own character and is not following the trend of others. The production of their music videos is also not done haphazardly, they have the quality similar to international music videos," said the woman who is said to resemble Barbie Kumalasari.
