Dul Jaelani, the True Warrior Involved in Dewa 19's '20 Tahun Bintang Lima Tour 2020'

Kapanlagi.com - Ahmad Dhani's son, Dul Jaelani, is involved in Dewa 19's six-city concert tour titled '20 Tahun Bintang Lima Tour 2020'. This is not the first time Dul has been involved with Dewa 19.

Previously, when his father was still in prison, Dul performed with Dewa 19 several times, replacing Ahmad Dhani's position.

Certainly, Dul feels proud to be able to contribute to Dewa 19's tour. What's even more special is that this time Dul is performing alongside his own father.

"I'm really proud. I'm not just playing with Dewa 19. When my father was in prison, I was given the task to replace his role in Dewa. Automatically, I became a member of Dewa. Now, Alhamdulillah, I'm participating in the tour as a Dewa member," said Dul at FX Sudirman, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (1/15/2020).

1. Becoming a Challenge

Dul admits that being in a band with musicians who already have a big name is not easy. For Dul, this becomes a challenge that he must overcome.

"I think there will be many challenges coming, and I have to be prepared to face those challenges," said Dul.

In addition, Dul said that he is just a member of Dewa 19. However, he is also a big fan of Dewa 19.

"I'm not just a member of Dewa, I'm also a true Baladewa. A devoted fan," said Dul.

2. There are Two Keyboardists

Together with Dewa 19, Dul plays the keyboard. Although it was originally played by his own father, in this concert tour, Dewa 19 uses two keyboardists. According to Ahmad Dhani, using two keyboardists is not a problem. In fact, there is one band that inspired Dewa 19, TOTO, which also uses two keyboardists.

"Regarding Dul, there is a band in the world called TOTO. TOTO has two keyboards, it is the only rock band with two keyboardists. Because Dewa 19 is a fan of TOTO, our reference is TOTO, so if there are two keyboardists, we just divide them, one synthesizer and one electric piano," Ahmad Dhani concluded.

Dewa 19 will embark on a tour in six major cities in Indonesia. Starting from Bandung (February 15, 2020), Yogyakarta (February 22, 2020), Surabaya (March 14, 2020), Banjarmasin (March 21, 2020), Balikpapan (March 25, 2020), and Makassar (April 3, 2020).
