Experience Long Distance Marriage with Beloved Husband, Fitri Carlina Expresses Her Feelings Through the Song "Aku Kangen Kamu"

Kapanlagi.com - Dangdut singer, Fitri Dian Puspita or better known as Fitri Carlina has just released her latest single titled Aku Kangen Kamu under Nagaswara label.

This song is based on Fitri Carlina's personal experience of having a long distance marriage (LDM) with her husband, Hendra Sumendap.

The song Aku Kangen Kamu tells a story about deep longing for a partner. Fitri Carlina revealed that for the past year, she has been in a LDM with her husband who is currently stationed in Doha, Qatar.

1. Must Separate

After 18 years together in Indonesia, they must separate because Hendra is continuing his career in the Middle East.

"So this year LDM (long distance marriage) with my husband after 18 years together in Indonesia. Actually, from the beginning, I have had a dream to continue my career in the Middle East, in Qatar," said Fitri Carlina at the Kapanlagi Youniverse office, Central Jakarta, Friday (21/6/2024).

Fitri Carlina explained that going through LDM is not easy. The feeling of longing and sadness often overwhelms, especially because they cannot meet often like before.

"We used to meet often at home, now it's rare, we have to separate for one or two months. The difference in distance and time really hits hard," she said.

2. To Overcome Longing

To overcome longing and avoid negative thoughts, Fitri Carlina decided to channel her feelings through music. She talked to Pak Rahayu from Nagaswara and finally created the song Aku Kangen Kamu (I Miss You).

"Finally, instead of getting too caught up in negative thoughts, I prefer to express myself in a positive way by creating a single. This song is really me, it's my confession, and even though I'm sad, I can still dance," she explained.

3. Believe in Husband

Responding to various negative thoughts that often haunt in long-distance relationships, such as loneliness and worries about loyalty, Fitri Carlina admitted that it is normal in a household. However, she tries to remain faithful and strengthen good intentions in her marriage.

"Now there are news circulating about it, but God willing, because when we get married, it is for the sake of Allah, for worship," Fitri Carlina concluded.
