Two cross-generational actors, Vino G Bastian and Angga Yunanda, are brought together for the first time in a film titled MY ANNOYING BROTHER.
This comedy-drama presentation is a remake of a successful South Korean film with the same title. The most crucial aspect when remaking this film is the selection of the cast.
The process of discovering Vino and Angga was revealed to be not as easy as flipping a hand.
"When we wanted to make this film, we knew how important chemistry is because almost eighty-five percent of the screen time is played by two actors as siblings," said Aoura Lovenson, the executive producer.
For that, we are looking for someone with quality," continued Aoura Lovenson in a press conference in the Cilandak area, South Jakarta, Friday (21/6/2024).
"From the names we have tried to arrange, these two names came out. They have strong chemistry and when they are together, their magic comes out," he added.
Angga Yunanda admitted feeling nervous when he first found out he would be playing alongside Vino G Bastian. But after the reading process, they became close in positioning themselves as siblings in the film.
"I am grateful to be able to act with Kak Vino. At first, I was nervous, but after starting the reading process and often meeting his annoying side, it became real ha ha ha," said Angga jokingly on the same occasion.
Similarly, Vino G Bastian also expressed his involvement with Angga Yunanda in the film MY ANNOYING BROTHER. Especially after reading the script, the relationship between Jaya and Kemal as siblings is revealed to be very exciting.
"When I read the script, wow, it's really exciting. This is personally very potential and close to our culture that can be played as siblings. Because I have a brother who is similar," said Vino.
