The prestigious dangdut competition Dangdut Academy 8 (DA 8) is back presenting new talents from various regions. One contestant who caught attention in the Final Audition Group 1 is Niswah, a contestant from Pemalang, Central Java.

She comes with a big dream to develop her talent while proving her vocal quality on the national stage. For Niswah, participating in D'Academy is not just about seeking popularity. She wants to gain knowledge, add experience, and continue to grow as a professional dangdut singer.

"Because I want to pursue my dream and at the same time seek experience to gain better knowledge," said Niswah when met at the Indosiar Studio, Jakarta, Monday (29/6/2026).

His love for the world of singing has grown since he was a teenager. Consistent practice has made him brave enough to step onto the national audition stage.

"I have liked singing since I was little, since I was 13 years old," said Niswah, who showed talent from an early age.

Interestingly, Niswah did not immediately pursue dangdut music. He started his career by performing qasidah songs before eventually switching to dangdut and finding his path in that genre.

"At first I sang qasidah songs, then I switched to dangdut. It turns out there was fortune in dangdut as well, so I continued until now," he explained.

Standing on the D'Academy stage was a very emotional moment for Niswah. She admitted to feeling proud to finally be able to realize a dream that had only existed in her imagination.

"Basically the best. I am also very touched here, it turns out I can sing on this magnificent stage, which is the dream and aspiration of many people," she said.
