Going to Release a New Single, LIDA and DA Members Unite to Form Byoode

Kapanlagi.com - Five singers who are all graduates of the Indosiar competition, consisting of Rara, Nia, Meli LIDA, Aulia, and Putri DA, formed a group called Byoode. A girlband that carries pop and dangdut music.

According to Putri, the formation of Byoode started from a musical drama event held by Indosiar in October 2020. Initially, the five members of Byoode just jokingly asked to be made into a girlband. Because it was taken seriously, Indosiar finally granted their wish.

"That was the beginning of the musical drama, Nia, Putri, Aulia, Rara, Meli, all five of us told Ibu Winny. We all said, 'we want to have a girlband'" said Putri during a virtual press conference on Monday (15/3/2021).

"At first, it was just a joke, but eventually Indosiar gave us the opportunity to explore our dance and singing by forming the girlband Byoode, formed in November," she continued.

1. New Experience

Of course, this is a new experience for Rara, Nia, Meli LIDA, Aulia, and Putri DA to be able to join Byoode. Here, they are not just singing on stage. But, the five members of Byoode also have to sing and dance at the same time.

"We were formed by Indosiar. We just have to memorize the dance, Alhamdulillah we also have a coach," said Putri.

2. Facing Challenges

The members are happy that Indosiar can fulfill their desire to form Byoode. Because, together with Byoode, they face new challenges when performing on stage.

"When asked whether solo or group is better, initially we were solo so it's not about whether it's better or not, but we are happy. We are happy in both solo and group. So the initial goal was more towards solo. We are really happy to be able to join this group and also improve our dance skills," said Putri.

"Both have their own strengths and weaknesses. Solo is already familiar to us, but being in a group is something new. Especially since we are dangdut singers. Usually, girl bands are more like pop. So this is really the first time we start a group and it's also one of the advantages in addition to being solo," added Rara.

3. Prepare New Work

Not wanting to be considered just a casual project, Byoode has prepared a new work. The plan is for Byoode to release a new single that will be released in the near future.

"For us, Byoode, God willing, we will release a single with a pop and dangdut genre. That will be our future project, just wait for it," Rara concluded.
