Happy Asmara and Gilga Sahid's Successful 5K Run in Malang

Kapanlagi.com - The couple of dangdut singers Happy Asmara and Gilga Sahid participated in the 'city run' Malang Half Marathon 2026. They both admitted it was their first time joining a running event and chose the 5K among the classes offered, which included 41.5K, 10K, and 5K.

"This is my first time, honestly, usually the events are badminton, volleyball, things like that. I joined the 5K. After this, I also want to entertain, so I have to finish first for preparation," said Happy Asmara at Gajayana Stadium Malang, Sunday (26/4/2026).

Besides being a dangdut singer, Happy claims to be a sports lover who regularly fills her daily activities with sports. The singer of Ngopi-Ngopi Mase has long been involved in badminton.

"It's been a long time. I am a badminton athlete, well not exactly an athlete, but to learn badminton, there is definitely physical activity like running, warming up, things like that," she explained.

1. First Time Gilga Participates in a Run

Happy admitted that she intentionally invited her husband, Gilga Sahid, to join the event with thousands of runners. Since it was his first time, Gilga said his hands and body felt stiff. Maybe because it was his first time.

"My husband is also participating for the first time, because he doesn't really love sports, so this is his first time. He was even forced by his wife," Happy whispered with laughter while her husband went to the bathroom.

2. Previously Played Futsal

Gilga himself admitted that he tries to meet his body's exercise needs with futsal. The habit of exercising developed naturally, thanks to his wife who loves badminton.

"If sports aren't a hobby, but a necessity, we don't often exercise together, because my wife prefers badminton, while I lean more towards futsal. But the badminton and futsal facilities are in the same building. When my wife plays badminton, I play futsal," he explained.

3. Inseparable Throughout the Route

While running, throughout the route Happy Asmara and Gilga Sahid were inseparable, even appearing very affectionate towards each other. It was seen that upon reaching the finish line, several people noticed the presence of Happy and Gilga and invited them to take a photo together.

Happy was seen massaging Gilga's hands and shoulders, who at that time admitted to feeling sore because it was their first time. "It's probably normal because it's the first time," said Happy.
