Indosiar is once again holding a prestigious talent search event, namely Dangdut Academy 8 or DA 8. For KLovers who are interested in participating in the offline auditions, you can check here. For those who want to join through online auditions, you can also register here.

While registering, you can check out tips & advice from Rani Zamala regarding the auditions and what needs to be prepared. It is known that Rani Zamala was an online judge for D'Academy 5 a few years ago and Rani herself was the 4th place winner of Dangdut Academy 4 in 2016 and also the runner-up in D'Academy Asia 2.

First, Rani emphasized that thorough preparation and self-confidence are the main keys in navigating the tight auditions.

"You must prepare thoroughly and be confident. If the preparation is thorough, God willing, confidence will be better, so keep practicing before the audition. Make good use of the opportunity," Rani revealed to KapanLagi.com some time ago.

Rani also mentioned that as participants, not only skills need to be prepared, but mental readiness should not be overlooked. This is important because if the audition participants pass to the competition, everything will feel different, being far from family and loved ones.

"If you're ready to join the audition, you really have to be prepared. Because if you pass, you will be quarantined in a dormitory, far from family, so you really have to be mentally prepared. We will be trained as independent participants," she said.

Rani stated that initially, the feeling of homesickness or missing family will occur. However, as time goes by and with habituation, that feeling will pass on its own.

"Friends who are not used to being away from family will eventually get used to it. Rani herself was not used to being away from family, usually accompanied by her father; the first week felt really tough with missing them, but as time goes on and focusing on the goal, Insya Allah it will pass," she continued.

In addition, Rani also urged the participants to focus on their initial goals and the competition. Because excessive longing for beloved family can affect mood before performing.

"We need to know what kind of goal we want. If you really want to be a singer but are still confused about how to go about it, then it's tough; you have to focus on the actual goal, don't be indecisive," she said.
