Hoping the Corona Virus Outbreak Ends Soon, Rhoma Irama Provides Assistance for Medical Workers

He hopes that the corona virus pandemic will end soon. With that, people can resume their normal activities, and musicians, especially dangdut artists, can continue to create songs.

"Don't stay in Indonesia for too long, corona, you're just causing trouble!" said Rhoma Irama in the Betawi dialect when met in Jakarta some time ago.

1. Provide PPE Assistance

Rhoma, who wants the corona virus pandemic to end, also lent a hand in supporting the efforts of medical workers in fighting the corona virus. Together with the Indonesian Dangdut Musician Association (PAMMI), Rhoma provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the medical team at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital.

"Seeing the extraordinary efforts of the medical team to save lives needs to be appreciated. They are on the front lines in handling people infected with the Covid-19 virus. Hopefully, PAMMI's attention can lighten the burden of the RSCM medical team in carrying out their humanitarian duties," he said.

2. Assistance for Musicians Affected

In addition to providing assistance to healthcare workers, PAMMI officials also care about the fate of musicians registered in PAMMI by providing assistance in the form of basic necessities.

"Dangdut singers and musicians are greatly affected by Covid-19, with many jobs being canceled due to PSBB. This greatly impacts our friends. Therefore, we, as officials, provide attention in the form of basic necessity packages with the hope of alleviating the burden of our friends during the PSBB period," said Ikke Nurjanah, the daily chairperson of PAMMI, added.
