Idolizing Lesti Kejora, Delira from Garut Realizes Her Dream of Performing in D'Academy 8

Kapanlagi.com - Delira, a teenager from Garut, West Java, has successfully realized her dream of performing on the D'Academy 8 stage. As one of the contestants in Group 1 of the Final Audition, the 16-year-old girl wants to prove her vocal quality in front of the judges and the Indonesian public.

Delira's desire to participate in this talent search event has been growing since she was little. She admits to being inspired by the career journey of Lesti Kejora, who successfully started her career on the D'Academy stage.

"Yes, this has been my dream and aspiration since I was a child. Alhamdulillah, now I can be at this point," said Delira when met at the Indosiar Studio, Jakarta, on Monday (29/6/2026).

Delira shared that she has been following D'Academy since the first season. At that time, Lesti's performance made her even more confident to pursue her dream of becoming a dangdut singer.

"Since I was little, even before school, I have been watching Dangdut Academy. Back then, there was Bunda Lesti, I was such a big fan. Then I saw Kak Cepi, Kak Rara, Kak Sridevi, and other seniors," she said.

Interestingly, this became Delira's first experience participating in a national-scale audition. She did not expect that her first step would lead her directly to Jakarta.

"Thank God, I am very happy. This is my first time participating in an audition and I was able to pass in this competition," she said.

2. Support from Parents

Delira admitted that her greatest strength comes from the prayers and support of her family. According to her, parental blessing is the main capital in facing tight competition.

"The support from my parents, family, friends, and most importantly the prayers from my parents, as well as my own confidence," she stated.

3. Support from School

In addition to her family, Delira also received full support from her school, MA Al-Inayah Garut. She hopes to make her alma mater proud and also bring honor to her region.

"For my school, MA Al-Inayah, please keep praying for me and continue to support me. Keep following my journey, okay?" Delira concluded.
