In an interview with Kapanlagi.com, she admitted to having several favorite pop singers whose songs she often listens to. Ikke admitted to enjoying Tulus's songs because of their simple yet calming music concept. According to Ikke, the lyrics of Tulus's songs, which are rich in meaning, and the soft music are indeed suitable to be listened to in various situations.
"I like his songs. Besides being easy listening, they are nice to hear, and the concept has a nuance that makes me feel calmer. I like the themes, they are cool," said Ikke Nurjanah.
Senior singer Vina Panduwinata has also been one of Ikke's favorites since childhood. Ikke believes that Vina Panduwinata's singing style, which feels like having a conversation with the listeners, is one of its main attractions.
"When I was a child, I really listened to Mama Ina's songs. I had her cassette and everything. For me, her songs and the character of her voice are very unique, very distinctive. It's like having a conversation. Now, if I usually hear that kind of conversational singing in dangdut, it would be Umi Elvy and Haji Rhoma, but in pop, I see Mama Ina. She sings in such a conversational way. It's enjoyable, the communication," she said.
Ikke also follows talented young singers like Lyodra. According to her, Lyodra's vocal technique and smooth voice are a special attraction.
"Kids these days have soft voices, their technical skills are good, and they sing very high," she said.
Lastly, Ikke mentioned Salma Salsabil as one of her favorite pop singers. She admires Salma's strong and emotional vocal character.
"Because for me they (Salma and Lyodra) have a great character, and their singing is full of soul, and I really like how Salma grooves. Cool," she concluded.
