Learning from the Past, 8 Portraits of Dewi Perssik Admits Now More Selective About Love - Doesn't Want to Rush to Choose a Partner

The woman affectionately called Depe also revealed how her past experiences shaped her current attitude. She admitted that she had experienced a long period of being single before she accepted love that came her way.

"Well, I was single for eight years, and suddenly a guy confessed his feelings, I just said yes. But now it seems like I’m more focused on learning, learning to improve myself to become a better person first, so I can get the best," she said.

Now, Dewi prefers to live more cautiously and draw closer to God. She believes that time will bring her together with the partner who truly suits her.

"If it’s about opening my heart, I’m ready. Dewi Perssik has never been traumatized, hehehe. It’s just that now I’ll follow what Allah says, who the best one will be, I don’t know," said the singer of the song Hikayat Cinta.

This year's Eid al-Adha moment was quite emotional for Depe. She admitted to having cried when hearing the takbir, remembering that she lives far from her family.

"Yes, this is the benefit of having her (niece) who can say, 'Stop crying, why cry?' You know, when we hear the takbir, just imagine living far from home and suddenly hearing the takbir, of course, we will cry, right? That's what I felt last night," said Dewi.

Dewi stated that her niece is quite significant in her life right now. She feels emotionally supported, especially during special moments like Eid al-Adha.

"So thank God he was able to entertain me. He came with his wife, brought food too, and I also said, 'please accompany me later so I can be alone.' Thank God he was also able to accompany me here," he concluded.
