Learning from the Past, 8 Portraits of Dewi Perssik Admitting She is Now More Selective About Love - Doesn't Want to Rush into Choosing a Partner

Dangdut singer Dewi Perssik revealed that she is now ready to open her heart to a new partner. However, this time she wants the process to be slower and more thoughtful. According to her, she doesn't want to rush into choosing a life partner because she doesn't want to repeat the same mistakes.

"So if someone says, 'Come on, hurry up,' I would say I'm not looking to rush. I'm afraid it will turn out like last time, where the important thing was to get married right away," said Dewi Perssik when met at her home in the Lebak Bulus area, South Jakarta, on Friday (5/6/2015).

"So what I want is to really get to know each other now, to get to know who the person is, slowly but surely," Dewi Perssik added.

"If it's about opening my heart, I'm just ready. Dewi Perssik has never been traumatized, hehehe. It's just that now it's whatever Allah says, I don't know who will be the best for me later," said the singer of the song Hikayat Cinta.

This year's Eid al-Adha moment was also quite emotional for Depe. She admitted that she cried when she heard the takbir, remembering that she lives far from her family.

"Yes, this is the advantage of having him (my nephew) who can say, 'Don't cry, why cry?' You know, when we hear the sound of the takbir, just imagine living away from home and suddenly hearing the sound of takbir, you would definitely cry, right? That's what I felt last night," said Dewi.
