In the video, Lucinta Luna was deemed to have mistreated the animal as she held onto the dolphin's fin while it swam upside down with her. The video quickly went viral and received a lot of criticism from netizens.

The criticism for Lucinta continued not only from netizens but also from celebrities and public figures such as Devina Veronica, Kirana Larasati, Manohara, and Bu Susi Pudjiastuti. Realizing her mistake, the singer, who is rumored to be a transgender, decided to apologize.

Through her Instagram Story, Lucinta Luna wrote her apology to everyone, including former Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Bu Susi Pudjiastuti. She also explained what actually happened that day.

"Regarding LucintaLuna Manjalita's YouTube content about dolphins, the Halucinta Genk team was invited to a dolphin conservation. We were very happy to be invited to learn about dolphins and see them directly in the conservation. Our goal was to help Bali tourism affected by the corona. We also asked for permission and were informed by the authorities there that it was permitted (BKSDA)," she wrote.

It didn't stop there, she continued, "At first, we didn't know, we thought it was just direct communication with the dolphins, feeding them, and playing as usual. It turns out there was a scene where we were taken by the dolphins. We realized that we were wrong to participate in that."

"We apologize to everyone, to Bu Susi Pudjiastuti, activists, animal lovers, and everyone. We promise not to repeat it again. Actually, we all love animals, but in this case, we were careless and only now realized it," she concluded.
