She also tried her career in the capital city. Inul admitted that when she first set foot in Jakarta, she received an offer from a record producer. At that time, Inul was asked to give up her virginity for an album that might not necessarily become popular in the market. Inul Daratista firmly rejected the offer. She remembered her parents' advice to always maintain her dignity.
In addition to being deceived, Inul was also held captive for more than a month after performing in Batam. Without any money, Inul, who managed to escape, resorted to busking on a ship in order to survive.
