Maintain Exotic Skin, 8 Portraits of Evi Masamba Reveal Desire to Reshape Nose - Vintage Photos Highlighted

Being a professional artist or singer certainly requires an attractive appearance when performing in front of many people. That's what Evi Masamba felt, so she paid real attention to her appearance.

However, Evi herself doesn't want to change much of what is already ingrained in her.

Like her skin color, Evi admitted that she doesn't want to change her skin color to become white because she considers her exotic skin to be her trademark since the beginning of her career.

Evi also admitted that she has been desperately trying to maintain her dark skin color.

"No, because it has become Evi's own characteristic," said Evi Masamba when met in the Tendean area, South Jakarta, on Monday (22/4).

"If I have fair skin, it won't be exotic anymore. Fair skin is common, but Evi herself has been desperately trying to make her skin darker. It's her characteristic. Fair skin doesn't suit her," she continued.

However, having dark skin tone sometimes poses challenges for Evi Masamba when she wants to perform. Especially when she meets new makeup artists who often struggle to determine the right type of powder.

"If you use new makeup, you will definitely be confused about what makeup tone to choose. Sometimes my face becomes very white like dusk and noon," she said.

However, that doesn't mean Evi Masamba doesn't want to look different. She admitted that she wants to reshape her nose to make it look more pointed.

"I do plan to have a nose job, but it's okay. Just to look prettier and to experience having a pointed nose. I want to have a nose like an Arab person because I am now Arab, you know," she added.
