Recently, dangdut singer Wika Salim was criticized by netizens on social media. She was mentioned as a singer who doesn't have her own work. The criticism apparently caused Wika Salim to have a mental breakdown and cry.

The 31-year-old singer admitted that at that time she was not in the mood. That's why she immediately had a mental breakdown and cried when she saw harsh comments from netizens.

"Now it's not a big deal anymore. Yesterday, it was normal because I'm a woman, my mood was not good. So I responded too much to things that shouldn't have been responded to," said Wika Salim when met in Tendean area, South Jakarta, Thursday (31/8/2023).

Wika Salim admits that responding to harsh comments from netizens has a significant impact on herself. It can even make her lose motivation.

"It turns out that if we respond and read them, it has a big influence and it definitely doesn't turn out well for us. First, our mood also becomes bad. Our demeanor becomes less enthusiastic," she said.

From that incident, Wika Salim learned a lot, now she prefers not to respond to negative comments from netizens.

"Finally, I learned a lot after that day, I had so many friends who supported me, gave advice, and made me think, why should I care about all of that. After all, that person is not real," said Wika Salim.

However, Wika Salim admitted that she does not limit herself in playing social media. According to her, social media is used as a way to express herself.

"There is none because it is one of the places where I express myself. So I still use social media, but now I am more relaxed when there are negative comments" she concluded.
