Novi Ayla Switches to Religious Path, Releases Album 'BERMUNAJAT' with Hadroh Group NAURA

Kapanlagi.com - Throughout this Ramadan month, a number of musicians are introducing their religious songs to the market in turn. Just like the beautiful artist Novi Ayla who even chose to introduce a full album titled BERMUNAJAT.

Not alone, in this album Novi also collaborates with NAURA, a Hadroh group that she formed with Jk Records. The group consists of beautiful women with golden voices, Raihana, Sarahnaz, Fanisa, Fadira and Sakina.

The BERMUNAJAT album is self-produced by Novi, where almost all of the songs are recitations of sholawat to Prophet Muhammad SAW. Among them are Syairillah Yaa Ramadhan, Qull Yaa Azdim, Yaa Imamarusli, Shalawat Nariyah, Assalaamualaik, Yaa Hanana, Yaa Rasulullah, Al Miskufah, Sayyidul Anbiya, Qolbun Mutayam and Natawasal Bil Hubaba.

1. Bring a Mission to Broadcast Sholawat

According to this KDI singer, the NAURA group was formed accidentally. Initially, she was just covering Sholawat songs. From there, she proposed the idea of forming a Hadroh group to Pak Nyo, JK Records Producer, and it turned out to be approved.

"Alhamdulillah the Hadroh group was formed and all of this is by the permission of Allah SWT. Pak Nyo also agreed after listening to the song with the played instruments. He even suggested that the musical instruments be complete (full set)," said Novi during recording at JK Records Cideng Studio, Jakarta, Friday (22/04).

The members of the NAURA Group are members of the Anissatul 'Ilmi Ta'lim Council who have the same mission to broadcast Sholawat. Because they have had the same goal from the beginning, Novi did not have difficulty in gathering them all together.

"Hopefully, this will also become our eternal charity. So, if the heart speaks, everything is easy, because they are all the same in broadcasting Sholawat and the basics are also from the pesantren," she explained.

2. Obstacles Experienced by Novi During Recording

Although relatively new, the NAURA personnel have a lot of experience in Hadroh when they were in their respective pesantrens. And surprisingly, during the first recording, it went smoothly, they finished 9 songs in one day.

"Alhamdulillah, we already recorded at the beginning of Ramadan. And because I was also going to umrah at the same time, it was postponed for more than a week. Now that I have returned, we will continue recording to finish the songs," she explained.

Novi admitted that there was a little difficulty in singing songs that were all written in Arabic. The reason is that she does not yet fully understand the true meaning or the meaning in the song.

"Actually, when singing, to be able to give a feeling or feel, we must know the meaning of the song, yes if in Indonesian we can also translate the meaning. But the essence of the Sholawat song is our praise, conveying love and affection for the Prophet. This is also the version of Hadroh Sholawat syiar," she explained.

3. Will She Leave the Dangdut World?

The question is, with her new project in Naura, will Novi leave the dangdut world that has made her name? Here's her opinion.

"I still do everything, but the focus is on religious songs. If dangdut songs are also religious and have positive messages. But now Novi is falling in love with Sholawat, so the focus is on this first," she said.

Novi hopes that the presence of the Naura Hadroh Group will bring a new color, especially in Hadroh, and invite young people to love Sholawat more.

"Because our teacher said there is no harm in someone who recites Sholawat every day. The Prophet will also be happy and proud, we young people can echo Sholawat," she said.

4. Not Only to be Listened to in Ramadan

BERMUNAJAT is the first album from the NAURA Group produced by JK Records. For the arrangements on the BERMUNAJAT album, there are several musicians involved including Lenoard Nyo Kristianto (Music), Hendri Lamiri (Violin), Nurul Susanto (Guitar), Butong (Accordion) and Roman Gottwald (Accordion from Spain).

"We made something different this Ramadan, because JK has not had any religious content, especially Hadroh. So we collaborated with Novi as the producer and produced by JK Records," said JK Records Producer, Leonard Nyo Kristianto.

Nyo also mentioned that this Hadroh NAURA album is not only intended for Ramadan, but also suitable to be listened to at any time.

"So it's not just prepared for Ramadan, after Ramadan there will also be continued content of this hadroh, so the music colors in JK are diverse," Nyo concluded.
