In an interview, Mansyur revealed that the incident still lingers in his memory and serves as a valuable lesson in his career as a musician.

"Alhamdulillah there is one incident that my father has never forgotten until now. Perhaps it was a guidance from Allah SWT. We must believe in hablumminallah," said Mansyur S as he began his story in the studio of Pagi Pagi Ambyar, Trans TV, South Jakarta, Wednesday (18/12/2024).

The incident occurred when Mansyur was performing at an event. He almost touched a pole that turned out to be electrified.

"So when my father sings usually 'Khana..Khana, you are the girl from Jepara'. That is usually what my father sings, every month performing at recreational places in the capital," said the 76-year-old senior dangdut singer.

Despite experiencing a very dangerous incident, he is grateful to have survived and continued his career without long-lasting trauma.

After the incident, Mansyur became more cautious and increased awareness of safety while performing.   "The MC approached my father. My father came in, he held the mic, 'just now the singer....', got electrocuted. The MC got electrocuted because he was holding the pole. Imagine if my father was the one holding it," said Mansyur S.
