Shinta Tersenggol, Meli Rescued by Judges in Top 44 Group 7 LIDA 2020

Kapanlagi.com - The competition in Liga Dangdut Indonesia (LIDA) 2020 is getting tougher. One by one, participants are eliminated. Last night, Friday (28/2), it was Shinta's turn, the ambassador of South Sumatra province, to leave the stage of LIDA 2020.

She had to admit the superiority of three participants who were her competitors in the Top 44 group 7, namely Ica (Aceh), Meli (West Java), and Puspa (West Sumatra). Last night, Shinta performed a song titled Sendiri Aja.

1. Shinta's Performance Praised

Shinta's performance was actually excellent. All the judges gave compliments, and two judges even gave her a Standing Ovation (SO).

"Your voice, oh my. I feel like I'm seeing a millennial version of Siti Nurhaliza on this stage," praised Reza Zakarya, one of the judges.

Senior judge, Soimah, also praised Shinta's performance. "I'm proud to have a good ambassador from Central Java. Your voice is unique. Unique things are loved by many people," said Soimah.

2. SMS Polling Not Helpful

Unfortunately, public support through SMS polling did not help Shinta. The final polling results stated that Shinta was in last place with a score of 22.43 percent, slightly behind Ica who achieved 22.53 percent.

Meanwhile, Meli became the lucky contestant. She became the contestant saved by the jury to advance to the next round. Like in previous rounds, Meli always performed impressively. Last night, she received a Standing Ovation from all the judges for her performance of the song titled 'Hari Bangkit' (Rising Day).

"Yesterday, watching your performance, I stood up from my chair. Tonight, I was going to stand on the table, but I was afraid. You are awesome," praised Fildan.
