Siti Rahmawati Combines Dangdut and Turkish Music in Single 'Harapan Sirna'

Kapanlagi.com - Siti Rahmawati apparently did not forget her identity as a singer even though she is now living in Turkey with her husband Cem Junet Perk. In fact, for the first time, the woman who is familiarly called Siti KDI created a song titled Harapan Sirna.

The single was born when the world was hit by the Covid-19 virus outbreak. Not only that, the mother of two also released the single using Turkish language with the title Umut Bitti.

"I made this song about 1.5 years ago during the pandemic. Then I asked my friend to make the music in Jakarta. After the music was finished, I added the violin to the song. Assisted by seven Turkish violinists who beautify the HS song," wrote Siti KDI as quoted from kapanLagi.com.

In the single, Siti asked for the help of Turkish Disc Jockey named Emrah Is to add beautiful beats to her song.

"Because this song is not pure dangdut, but a combination of Indonesian music, especially dangdut and Turkish music," said Siti.

For her music video, Siti divided it into two parts. For Indonesia, the location was at Taman Arboretum. Meanwhile, for music listeners in Turkey, Siti KDI did the shooting in the Curug area, West Java. This location exchange is to make the HS song more familiar to both countries.

"I just want to create and always want to make something different. Of course, by always collaborating the elements of dangdut music with other music, so that it can enrich dangdut music itself," Siti concluded.

Siti said that her latest single still carries the theme of love. Siti weaves a story about a love that is not united, even though they love each other and want to be together, but fate has other plans, separation becomes a bitter decision that must be accepted.

However, the separation portrayed in this song is not a separation that is colored by hatred or enmity, instead, Siti chooses a peaceful separation, where the two individuals who separate pray for each other without any grudges.
