Success in Career and Living in Indonesia for a Long Time, Will Jirayut Become an Indonesian Citizen?

Kapanlagi.com - Jirayut Afisan, a talented young dangdut singer, left his home country, Thailand, to compete in the Dangdut Academy Asia 4 talent search event in 2018. Although he did not emerge as the champion, Jirayut's career in the entertainment industry in the country can be considered quite successful. 

Not only successful, but Jirayut also has loyal fans who will always support him. Not only from Indonesia, but also from other Asian countries.

Being able to continue his career in Indonesia, Jirayut considers himself lucky because he can meet senior artists who have given him a lot of knowledge, experience, and guidance.

"Of course, I have gained knowledge that cannot be obtained elsewhere. I can meet big senior artists. Moreover, being able to experience performing on the same stage with them is extraordinary," said Jirayut during a virtual press conference 'Semangat Senin Indosiar', Monday (22/3). 

1. Forgot Thai Language

Jirayut himself is known to have been in Indonesia for almost 3 years. Because he has been living in Indonesia for quite a long time, this 20-year-old dangdut singer even admitted that he has started to forget the Thai language.

"Nowadays, I'm probably very Indonesian. I've also started to forget the Thai language. Because when we hang out, we speak Indonesian. Moreover, I'm alone now," he said.

2. Becoming an Indonesian Citizen

Having a successful career in the entertainment industry, having many fans all over Indonesia, then will Jirayut become an Indonesian citizen someday?

"I'm still confused about that. But maybe eventually. But for now, I'm kind of like this. I still love Thailand," Jirayut concluded.
