To Survive in the Covid-19 Pandemic, Irma Darmawangsa Sells Two Houses for Billions of Rupiah

Dangdut singer Irma Dharmawangsa suffered significant losses due to the Covid-19 pandemic. If calculated, the 37-year-old singer suffered losses of billions of rupiah. Considering that her business had to close down and lay off several employees.

"Total losses in billions. I built my culinary business from buying land, constructing buildings worth billions. The results didn't meet expectations," said Irma Dharmawangsa at Ekomando, East Jakarta, on Wednesday (4/8/2021).

"Yes, I think within three years I can recover the capital or make a profit. But before three years, the coronavirus emerged. At the beginning of the coronavirus lockdown, PSBB, PPKM. We're frustrated, what can we do," said Irma Dharmawangsa.

To survive, Irma Dharmawangsa has tried various ways during these difficult times, one of which is selling assets. The girlfriend of Irfan Sbaztian said she is currently selling her two houses in Jakarta and Makassar.

"I'm still holding on. I'm selling my house. I'm currently trying to sell one of my assets to cover expenses. Selling assets is necessary, otherwise it's difficult to maintain the capital and money. There is no income, but expenses keep coming. I want to sell two houses, one in Makassar and one in Jakarta. But they haven't been sold yet," she said.

Two houses sold by Irma Dharmawangsa were priced quite fantastically. The house in Jakarta was sold for 1.9 billion. Meanwhile, the house in Makassar was sold for 1.2 billion.

"The one in Jakarta is 1.9 billion and the one in Makassar is 1.2 billion," she said.

In fact, Irma Dharmawangsa did not want to sell the two houses. However, to cover the losses, Irfan Sbaztian's partner was forced to sell her two houses.

"Actually, it's a shame, but we need cash to keep going. There is a silver lining during the pandemic. When you have money, don't turn everything into assets, there should be savings. Selling assets is not like selling peanuts. I have advertised my house but there has been no response. It still hasn't been sold until now and it's been quite a headache," concluded Irma Dharmawangsa.
