Singing 'Muara Kasih Bunda', Janna LIDA's Voice Makes Judges Shiver and Cry
Janna's performance, a participant from West Papua, successfully made the LIDA judges cry.
Kapanlagi.com - Siti Nurjanah Rumasukun or Janna LIDA successfully made the jury shed tears when performing the song Muara Kasih Bunda on Saturday (25/1).
After singing, one of the LIDA judges, Dewi Perssik, asked to hug Janna. Depe hugged the participant from West Papua who wore a hijab for quite a while. Even the sadness could be heard from Depe's voice when expressing her feelings.
When Dewi Perssik hugged Janna on stage, one of the hosts of LIDA 2020, Irfan Hakim, shared a sad story amidst Janna's successful journey to the main stage of LIDA.
"We all know what happened to Janna from West Papua. Last night, we discussed that one of Janna's goals in participating in LIDA 2020 was to seek fortune and also for the recovery of her beloved mother who suffered from diabetes. However, while Janna was auditioning in the audition room, she received a phone call from her family informing her that her mother had passed away," said Irfan as quoted from Indosiar.
After tightly embracing Janna, Dewi Perssik expressed her admiration for Janna. With a hoarse voice due to sadness, Depe said that Janna is an extremely strong person.
"I feel sorry for her. You are really strong, you can sing without shedding a single tear, surrendering and sincerely. I may not be able to sing like you from the bottom of your heart. And then you wrote a poem for your mother," said Dewi.
Jannah's appearance, which looks so strong when singing the song Muara Kasih Bunda, made Irfan Hakim curious. Irfan Hakim asked what makes Janna strong and resilient when singing.
"Jannah joined LIDA with the goal of making Mama happy, so Janna has to be strong because Mama is now at peace, already happy," Janna answered.
Irfan Hakim then asked again when Janna auditioned in Jakarta after her mother passed away in West Papua. When Janna parted with her mother, at that time her late mother had been sick for four months.
"When we left for here, Mama had difficulty walking, if she walked for a long time, she would have difficulty breathing, Mama had been sick for 4 months," Janna said.
"Before coming here, Mama was still at home, she used to go out for check-ups but didn't know what illness she had until she went to a new doctor and Jannah was informed that Mama had a heart condition, yes, she passed away at the hospital," she continued.
There is a very strong reason why Janna must remain strong even without support from her mother. Jannah said, before her mother passed away, her mother advised her to focus on her career.
"Mom said you should focus on the career you are facing, don't worry about mom, mom is fine," she said.
