Kapanlagi.com - After a three-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the biggest dangdut competition in Asia is back on Indosiar through Dangdut Academy Asia 6 (DA Asia 6). DA Asia 6 gets more exciting with the participation of a newcomer from Turkey.

"Of course, it is a joy for us to hold DA Asia again. Because we have been off for 3 years due to the Covid pandemic," said SCM Programming Director Harsiwi Achmad at a press conference at SCTV Tower, Friday (16/6/2023).

A total of 41 participants from eight countries will compete to showcase their dangdut singing skills, including participants from Indonesia, Timor Leste, Brunei Darussalam, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, and Turkey.

"Alhamdulillah, with the hard work of the Indosiar DA Asia team, we are able to hold it again. This is the biggest event for dangdut talent search. Not just dangdut, but talent search in Asia, especially in Indonesia," said Harsiwi Achmad proudly.

1. Not Just a Competition

Harsiwi Achmad said that DA Asia is not just a competition, but also a cultural exchange and a gathering of friendship. Therefore, he hopes that in the future, DA Asia can become even bigger and more lively with the participation of many other countries in Asia.

"I think DA Asia is not just a dangdut singing competition, but it also strengthens the brotherhood of Asia. We will preserve this and welcome other countries to participate, such as India, Cambodia, and others," said Harsiwi Achmad.

Thus, the mission to popularize dangdut music throughout the world, according to Harsiwi Achmad, can be quickly accomplished. "In addition to strengthening the culture of brotherhood in Asia, how can we make dangdut popular not only in Indonesia but also in the world?" he said.

2. More Lively!

DA Asia 6 will air on June 18, 2023, on Indosiar with the D' Academy Asia 6 Welcome Concert. Meanwhile, the competition among participants will begin on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, live at 8:00 PM WIB.

The performances of 41 participants will be judged directly by representatives of their respective countries, namely Zul2by2 - Mantabla (Malaysia), Mayuni Omar (Singapore), Hans Anuar (Brunei Darussalam), Kun Yee - Surachat Rak (Thailand), Gino Padilla (Philippines), Didinho Marchal (Timor Leste), and Hetty Koes Endang - Hendro Saky (Indonesia).

The DA Asia 6 stage will also feature a series of commentators who will provide input to the participants. They include SoimahNassar, Dewi Perssik, Denada, DJ Daffy (Brunei), Siti Rachmawati (Turkey), Fildan, Reza Zakarya, Selfi Yamma, and many more.

Each episode will be even more lively with the presence of six famous hosts from three countries, namely Gilang Dirga, Irfan Hakim, Ramzi, Jirayut (Thailand), and Uyaina Arshad (Malaysia).
