The name Ucie Sucita was known to have been targeted by Netizens for her dance performance while singing dangdut at the earthquake evacuation center in Sumedang. Various comments, criticisms, and insults were received by the 33-year-old singer. When met in the Tebet area, South Jakarta, on Wednesday night (3/1), Ucie Sucita clarified her performance.

She stated that her performance and presence were purely driven by her conscience, especially since Ucie herself is originally from Sumedang. Furthermore, Ucie emphasized that some of her relatives were also affected by the earthquake.

"Actually, as a resident of Sumedang, I mean, a native of Sumedang, her heart was called to join in providing assistance to earthquake victims," said Ucie Sucita.

"Especially family, relatives, many of them live in Sumedang, so I came to Sumedang with nothing to lose, really wanting to establish a relationship," she added.

When asked further, Ucie Sucita also explained that at the evacuation post, there is no specific concept or planned event. Everything goes with the flow, even without a presenter.

"We came to the evacuation tent post, there is no specific concept, no MC, so it just flows," she said.

In addition, she also added that the activities at the post were mainly filled with expressions of condolences, giving charity, praying together, and singing sholawat. As for her performance, it was indeed a request from the victims who wanted entertainment.
