Unable to Stand Negative Comments, Via Vallen Experiences Symptoms of Depression - Doesn't Want to Appear on TV in the Last 2 Months

Kapanlagi.com - In the past few months, dangdut singer Via Vallen has become a public topic of conversation. This is not unrelated to her appearance, which has changed a lot from before. Especially her chubby cheeks that often become the center of attention.

Often receiving criticism from netizens, Via Vallen admits that she has experienced symptoms of depression. She revealed this when she was a guest on Melaney Ricardo's latest vlog. The 29-year-old singer said that the symptoms of depression occurred when she accidentally read hateful comments on her Instagram.

"I was actually looking for comments from my fans, but accidentally read those (hate comments). Honestly, in the last 2 months, I really had symptoms of depression," said Via Vallen as quoted from Melaney Ricardo's YouTube channel.

1. Didn't Want to Appear on TV for 2 Months

Not only that, Via Vallen also admitted that she didn't have the courage to appear on television for two months. She felt burdened after reading those mean comments and it made her lose confidence. 

"Yes, because of that, reading those (mean comments). So, I couldn't handle the news anymore, and finally I didn't want to appear on TV," said the singer of the song  Sayang. 

2. Via Vallen's Weakness

She also mentioned that she is weak against mean comments which caused her to experience a decline. This is not unrelated to her being someone who often feels anxious, restless, and insecure. 

"Yes, maybe that's one of my weaknesses. Maybe many people want to be like me, but end up criticizing me because I'm insecure," she explained. 

3. Pernah Tolak Tawaran Film

Via Vallen also revealed that she had once rejected a film offer. She did so because she felt insecure about having a fuller body than before. 

"Like before, even 2 years ago, I often received offers to act in films, but I didn't take them because I felt insecure, I felt fat. Yeah, insecure," she said.
