During his stay in Jakarta, Valen started to get to know the local culture, including Betawi music. On the stage of the Mega Concert, he has to perform legendary songs like Jali-Jali and Kicir-Kicir. Although these songs have strong characteristics, Valen admitted that he did not experience significant difficulties.

"It's not really hard, the song is quite relaxed. It's not as difficult as dangdut or anything, just chill like happy songs. There’s the song Jali-Jali already, basically there are seven songs about Jakarta altogether," he said.

Besides music, Valen also started to like one of Jakarta's cultural icons, namely ondel-ondel. He feels happy to be able to see the cultural performance directly in between his appearances at the Mega Concert stage."The culture, you know, like ondel-ondel, right? It already performed earlier, it's funny, Betawi culture," Valen explained.
