Weni DA Turns Out to Have Been Reported to the Police by Her Mother

In a live interview session with Kapanlagi On Air recently, Weni Wen shared her story. The woman from Kalimantan mentioned that her parents had initially forbidden her from singing at that time.

"It's true that I was initially forbidden because my parents didn't keep their promises and said I could only sing after finishing school, but they instead told me to work," said Weni Wen.

The dangdut singer, who also has Javanese descent from her father, was promised that she could sing after graduating from high school. However, her parents actually directed Weni to work in a wood company.

"It did disturb my studies at that time. They said I could only sing after graduating from high school, but it turns out I was forbidden and not allowed to become a singer, they told me to work in a wood company, even though I had been waiting" she continued.

Because of that, Weni's mother even reported her to the police. It's because she was disappointed with unfulfilled promises, Weni chose to run away from home.

"Well, I ran away. Then my mom reported it to the police, it happened like that," she said.

2. Weni Provides Evidence That She Can Take Care of Herself

Confident with the path she chose, as time went by, Weni finally managed to prove herself. Although she was allowed to pursue a career as a dangdut singer, Weni's parents still set conditions for her.

"Well, my mom allowed it, but there are conditions, don't drink alcohol, don't do drugs, don't get pregnant outside of marriage, that's all, but hanging out is fine as long as that is maintained. Until this moment, I can prove and keep that promise," she concluded.
