Wika Salim and H.O.G 'Anak Elang Jakarta Chapter' Hold 1000 Free Vaccinations, a Form of Community Care

Yes, together with the community, Wika Salim and H.O.G 'Anak Elang Jakarta Chapter Indonesia' have conducted Covid-19 vaccinations. Yes, the vaccination was held for free at eL Hotel Royale Jakarta, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, last Saturday (8/14/2021).

This free vaccination activity is an effort to support the government in breaking the chain of Covid-19 transmission. Wika Salim, as a member of H.O.G, expressed her full support for this humanitarian effort. Along with her colleagues, she has also experienced difficulties during the Covid-19 pandemic.
 
Wika felt that the Covid-19 vaccination was the most appropriate agenda for H.O.G to help the unvaccinated community. Vaccines can be a fortress in strengthening the body's immunity against Covid-19 exposure.
 
“Yes, we are all concerned, including the members of H.O.G. Anak Elang. This Covid-19 vaccination is H.O.G's effort to help the community. This vaccine is important for maintaining our body's immunity against Covid-19,” said Wika Salim during the event.

"This is part of our endeavor. Hopefully, with this vaccination, those who haven't been vaccinated can join and we can help the government," added Wika Salim.

Wika Salim, who enjoys riding motorcycles, explains that this charity event is also a form of care from the community. Hopefully, this charity can inspire other communities in society to help those affected by the pandemic. "Let's try together, at least do something useful and help those less fortunate," said Wika Salim.

Meanwhile, according to Suherli, the Director of H.O.G Anak Elang Jakarta Chapter, Covid-19 vaccination is a crucial matter needed by the community at this time. H.O.G chose this activity as an effort to support the government's program.
 
“The danger of Covid is very real. Not only in general, but also in the past few days, many of our community members have been affected. Our rider friends and their families have become victims. We are concerned. As a form of care for our friends and brothers and sisters, as well as supporting the government's program, we are holding this vaccination event," explained Suherli.
 
In this H.O.G charity event, Suherli mentioned that 1000 doses of vaccine were given. In addition to H.O.G members, it is also open to the surrounding community. To ensure the success of the event, around 40 healthcare workers are also available.
 
“There are a total of 1000 doses of vaccine given in this event. We are also collaborating with the Metro Jaya Police Department," said Suherli.

Suherli said that this Covid-19 vaccination activity is one of the three pillars regularly carried out by H.O.G Elang Jakarta Chapter. Throughout this Covid-19 pandemic, H.O.G has canceled many of their touring activities and replaced them with charity events.
 
“We have around 600 members throughout Indonesia. Our friends are very supportive of this activity. We have postponed touring activities out of respect for the difficulties faced by the community. There are three H.O.G activities, namely touring, gathering, and charity. This vaccination is one of our charity activities,” added Suherli.  

The free charity vaccination event by H.O.G Anak Elang was also attended by Minister of Youth and Sports Zainudin Amali and former Minister of Trade Enggartiasto Lukito.

3. Many Activities Held by H.O.G

H.O.G Jakarta Eagle Chapter Indonesia was officially established on July 5, 2017. This motorcycle club is registered with Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Company, United States, with registration number 4103.

Many activities have been carried out by H.O.G in the past four years. Internally or together with friendly clubs, H.O.G has conducted tours from KM 0 to Medan, tours across the United States & Canada to celebrate the 115th Anniversary of Harley-Davidson in Milwaukee, USA, and other charity activities.
